Unlike many in academia, Deborah Britzman is not a publishing powerhouse, generating one book after another. Rather, she tends to be economical with her words (and our trees), publishing only when she has something to say. And when she does, as in the case of her new book, After-Education: Anna Freud, Melanie Klein, and Psychoanalytic Histories of Learning, that "something" is always worth listening to.
