Mar. 10--LAS YESCAS -- Medical care may be out of reach for many low-income rural residents, but a fledgling high tech program may point the way to the future for rural Cameron County residents.
Telemedicine equipment will be in the school nurse's office at Las Yescas Elementary School, which is part of the Los Fresnos school district, said Precinct 4 Cameron County Commissioner Edna Tamayo, who helped secure private donations to pay part of the equipment cost.
