Mar. 11--West Virginia educators want students across the state to get up and dance. Physical education teachers from all over the state are learning about a new approach to exercise -- video games.
Dance Dance Revolution, or DDR, is a video game that encourages players to get up and get moving. Using a floor mat instead of a controller, users try to keep up with dance steps on the screen by moving their feet to the corresponding arrows. On Friday, middle school physical education teachers from RESA VII were the first to be trained on DDR at WVU's Coliseum. Other regions will be trained soon. Then high school physical ...
