Lower downtown Denver is exciting and romantic. It's also a little too hip and a little too short on parking for some of us.
But I just visit. People who actually live there seem to love it.
And their ranks are growing, as evidenced by at least a dozen new high-rises sprouting up around Denver's old rail yards.
An estimated 1,083 units were under construction last year, and 2,500 were on the drawing boards, according to the Downtown Denver Partnership.
That's on top of the 6,000 lofts and condos already there.
What are they like?
