SSNL to increase height of Sardar Sarovar dam in 100 days
Vadodara, Mar 12 (PTI) Sardar Sarovar Nigam Ltd would increase the height of the Sardar Sarovar Dam across Narmada river to 121.92 meter in about 100 days.
Chairman of the Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Limited (SSNL) P K Laheri told PTI here today that work is in full swing at the dam site to complete the works within the shortest period possible.
After Narmada Control Authority (NCA) gave clearance to raise the height of the dam, 200 engineers and 2,000 workers have been deployed to complete the work before June 22, he said.
