Fridge ate his own entry form, but that didn't stop him from entering the Faithful Friends Canine Contest on Saturday in Hamilton.
Fridge wore a pretty purple vest in recognition of his sponsors, the Red Hat Society. He stopped by the judges' booth and pranced in the parade, making it clear that he wasn't here to graze.
When judges stopped accepting species at noon, Fridge was the obvious front-runner in the "non-dog" category.
"I don't walk around with a goat for nothing," said owner Ann Ackerson, of Eaton.
Ackerson said she thought of the Alpine breed last year after a stuffed animal ...
