NORTH Wales RSPB bosses are being inundated with calls from people in a flap over bird flu.
Charity officials said two worried owners even tried to hand in their pet birds, fearful they might pass on the disease.
Alan Davies, the RSPB's Conwy nature reserve site manager said the reaction to avian flu was "hysterical" and people were panicking unnecessarily.
Mr Davies said he received several calls a day, mainly from people seeking advice.
