THE North Carolina Geodetic Survey (NCGS) is the official representative of the North Carolina Department of Environment, Health and Natural Resources (NCDEHNR) in the field of geodesy. Since 1960, NCGS has provided both horizontal and vertical control to land surveyors, engineers, planners, and students in North Carolina.
