Mar. 14--At the Daily News, they've long since become sick of it.
Sick of reading the obligatory sentence in stories about the possible sale of Knight Ridder Inc. -- the sentence assuming that any new owner in Philadelphia would close the tabloid. Now that one sale has been announced, and a second is on the horizon, staffers are doing what they can to fight back.
