A decade ago, Tim Guinness was managing fund managers as a director of Guinness Flight Global Asset Management, the fund management company he jointly built up with former MP Howard Flight. Today, he is still in charge of his own fund management company, Guinness Asset Management, but with a much more hands-on role, running a number of funds that specialise in the energy sector, including two on behalf of Investec, the company that acquired Guinness Flight.
