A MONTH-long World Cup festival of football is coming to Birmingham as part of a pounds 1 million sponsorship deal
More than 3,000 fans will congregate on Millennium Point in the summer to watch live games on a giant 60 square metre screen - the largest ever in the city and one of the biggest in Europe.
Spectators will be able to sit on synthetic turf, rest on a Fan Park terrace and grab a bite to eat or a drink in temporary cafes and bars - after paying to get in.
But the new fun park was today criticised by opposition councillors who fear Birmingham football fans will get a "second rate" deal.
