Mar. 16--For nine months, Donna Whicker has been searching for Jack.
She has stood at construction sites and handed out missing-dog fliers to hardhats. She has tucked fliers into sandwich bags, weighed them down with pebbles and tossed them into driveways. And she has spent months notifying veterinarians, pestering animal-control officers and posting notices on Web sites devoted to missing pets.
