DUBLIN, Ireland - Guy pal and I were talking weekend getaway. One of us said Dublin - I'd been a few times, he hadn't. Aer Lingus' decent winter fares (which start from around $320 round trip) sealed the deal.
In the city where St. Valentine is buried and pubs serving Guinness are on nearly every block (more pubs than trees), romance comes easy. A weekend in Dublin wasn't as wacky as it sounds.
We caught the 7:15 flight out of Logan on a Thursday night, arriving in time for Dublin's morning rush hour. And we were home by Monday afternoon, tired but enlightened.
