Mar. 17--Nostalgia was the main course at the Spirit of Ireland dinner, which drew hundreds of people to the Fairmont Hotel on Tuesday night to celebrate the 20th anniversary of San Jose's sister city relationship with Dublin, Ireland. The keynote speaker was Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern, who as lord mayor of Dublin worked with then-San Jose Mayor Tom McEnery to forge a relationship in 1986. Ahern told the crowd that the connections made during Dublin's first sister city trip to San Jose are still paying off.
