Mar. 8--Delta Air Lines said Tuesday it will soon begin offering four daily flights from Bradley International Airport to New York City, enabling travelers to catch connecting flights to any of 67 worldwide destinations.
Officials at Bradley called the new service a welcome step toward the state-owned airport's long-sought goal of having trans-Atlantic flights leave directly from Bradley.
"This is certainly leading us in the right direction," said state Transportation Commissioner Stephen Korta, "and I think it'll demonstrate to the airlines that there is a market for trans-Atlantic service originating out of Bradley."
