MERSEYSIDE'S best-known stately home, Knowsley Hall, has never seen anything like it in its 600-year history.
It has hosted banquets, balls and exhibitions, and no doubt in its early days employed court jesters to entertain its aristocratic diners.
Now the hall is to stage its first ever pop concert, starring rock legends Status Quo.
The familiar sounds of the denim-clad "Quo" will come to the classic setting of Knowsley Hall on Sunday, June 25, with an open-air appearance by Rick Parfitt and Francis Rossi.
