Mar. 18--CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Tomas Perez couldn't wait to leave for the World Baseball Classic.
He called it an honor, and thought it would create some great memories for his children.
But Perez, who returned to Bright House Networks Field yesterday after the Venezuelans were eliminated Tuesday, said if he had the chance to play again, he would decline. He loves his country, but he also knows where his bread is buttered. And that's in the majors with the Phillies.
