Mar. 19--SPRING VALLEY LAKE -- Three small-claims lawsuits filed against the Spring Valley Lake Association could end up costing the homeowners group between $6,500 and $10,000.
Residents Richard Leabow and Bill Martin filed suit against the association after it failed to produce documents and reports from past audits.
Leabow said that under the Davis-Stirling Act of the California Civil Code, a person can be eligible to receive a judgment of $500 if an entity, in this case the SVLA, cannot produce a document within 10 days.
