HP CEO Mark Hurd is beguiled by HP's technology.
When he got to the company eight months ago, he told Wall Street analysts the other day, he found way more technology than he ever imagined. Of course overwhelming Mark with technology may be easy pickings considering he comes from NCR, which is not exactly awash in technology.
Anyway, Hurd basically compared HP's technical depth to a well-kept secret but suggested that it was this non-transparent technology that was going to restore HP's lost luster. The company's growth--and the name of this game is all about growth--is dependent on establishing HP as the "leading technology company."
