When Sergio Rossi announced he was stepping down from his namesake luxury label in November and ceding complete control to Gucci Group, the company's women's footwear design director, Edmundo Castillo, took the creative helm. However, infusing his own point of view into the shoe and accessories collections while upholding the Sergio Rossi legacy has proven a challenging balancing act.
