A federal probation officer has recommended Tony Erpenbeck be given a life sentence today in federal court in Lexington on convictions for attempted murder and kidnapping.
Erpenbeck, 71, was convicted in December of soliciting a contract killer to murder U.S. District Judge S. Arthur Spiegel and former Assistant U.S. Attorney Kathleen Brinkman, and of attempting to have the children of FBI agent Timothy Tracy kidnapped.
All three officials were involved in the cases in which two of Erpenbeck's children -- Bill and Lori Erpenbeck -- were convicted on bank fraud charges related to the Erpenbeck ...
