2006 is likely to bring big changes in many of the industries covered by our B2B Boxscores, but perhaps none more so than in the Telecommunications field (see first chart below). One big switch is the growing overlap between telecom and the cable TV industry, charted as part of our Broadcast/Video package (see second chart). As cable companies hungry for new revenue growth have expanded into telephone and Internet broadband services, revenue-hungry telephone companies have sought entry into the cable business (so far with minimal success).
