More EDN P&C readers plan to use fuzzy logic next year
In some ways, fuzzy logic has hit the big time: Even mainstream publications like Business Week have written stories about fuzzy logic's potential. But in terms of applications, fuzzy logic still has a way to go, at least in the US. According to our latest snapshot survey, a mere 4% of respondents have used fuzzy logic in a design.
Over the next year, however, 19% expect to use fuzzy logic. Their reasoning, in descending order, is: 78% wanted to experiment with fuzzy logic; 51% believed fuzzy logic will improve end-product quality; 22% said it will improve design accuracy; 16% said it will ...
