Mar. 22--A group of 52 Indian workers from a local engineering firm organised a sit-in protest at their embassy yesterday complaining against maltreatment and non-payment of salary by the company. The workers of Eastern Engineering Company claimed that the employer had been treating them unfairly, while some of them said they were not paid salaries for months. "The company officials have verbally and physically abused us when we asked for the dues", they said.
The workers also alleged that their salaries were cut without mentioning it in the payslip and they were forced to work overtime without payment. Nixon, who spoke on behalf of the protesters, ...
