NEW YORK - Generra snagged a prominent name to replace former creative director Tony Melillo, appointing Pina Ferlisi to that post last Thursday. Ferlisi, a former executive vice-president of design for the Gap brand, starts her new job today, reporting to Generra president Stacey DiPersia.

"Generra intrigued me because it has a history, but it's also an emerging brand," said Ferlisi. "There's a DNA to it, but what I'd like to do is expand the boundaries of our fabrics and our high-low sensibility."
