Mar. 23--Thai Union International, a subsidiary of Thai Union Frozen Products (TUF), the country's largest tuna exporter, has set up a new subsidiary in the United States.
The venture aims to capitalise on TUF's existing infrastructure, including production, packaging and distribution channels, and the strength of the Chicken of the Sea brand.
According to Thiraphong Chansiri, TUF's president, the newly created subsidiary called Tri-Union Frozen Food Products, Llc (Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods) will offer premium-quality frozen and refrigerated seafood products to the food service and retail industries.
