Mar. 24--KERRVILLE -- They've owned plenty of cinemas across Texas since 1922, but Hall family members say none compares to the 10-screen complex that opens today on Texas 173.
"This is the largest theater we've ever had on the circuit," Henry Hall Jr. said of Rio Cinema, where rocking seats on risers offer clear views in digitally equipped auditoriums.
The family firm based in Beeville once ran 19 theaters, but the chain had dwindled to fewer than 10 by 1954, when Hall took the reins from his father.
