CLEARWATER, Fla. _ After 11 years, countless bus trips and more super-sized value meals than he probably cares to remember, Chris Coste has the patience to wait one more week.

But he has never stopped wondering.

"I wonder if I walk up there, do I swing at the first pitch?" Coste said before Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Boston Red Sox at Bright House Networks Field. "Do I take the first pitch? If the first one is down the middle, am I mad at myself if I don't swing at it? You think about things like that a lot. But I'll never know for sure know unless it actually happens."
