Although considered a "radio drama" set in 1934, David Mamet's 1977 play "The Water Engine" remains relevant today, tapping into the idea of oil/energy companies attempting to thwart clean, cutting-edge energy technologies to protect its own profits.
Mamet's play, set during the Chicago World's Fair, premiers March 29 and will run through April 5 at the Chesapeake campus of Tidewater Community College's Studio Theater.
