Mar. 27--President Traian Basescu stated that the Bechtel highway will continue but the contract should be made public.
President Traian Basescu believes the contract with the American company Bechtel for the Brasov-Bors highway should be made public.
"The Pan-European Corridor IV is not on this path," said Basescu, adding that since a contract was signed the works should continue. The government provisioned 300 million dollars for this year's works, out of which 100 million dollars will be allocated in April. The contract is worth 2.2 billion dollars and the highway should be finished in 2012.
