Mar. 28--On March 4, the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission released 192 adult trout into the Hockendauqua Creek near Spruce Drive in Lehigh Township, Northampton County. Last Thursday, a team of agency biologists returned with an electrofishing backpack to collect those fish and count them all over again. The results were pretty good, with 170 trout -- or 88.5 percent -- swimming right where the commission left them. Although capturing and re-counting trout less than three weeks after they were stocked may seem odd, the survey is part of a statewide study designed to shed light on how trout behave after stocking and answer questions ...
