NEW ORLEANS, March 28 /PRNewswire/ -- According to the Bureau of Governmental Research, in a report issued last week, seven New Orleans property tax assessors use unprofessional and arbitrary practices that create unfair and widely disparate assessments of similar valued property.
"The imperative to correct this unfair property tax system, which results in vastly different taxes on similar properties, is a key indicator of reform and another signal that politics as usual will not be tolerated," said Jay Lapeyre, Chairman of The Business Council of New Orleans and the River Region and President of Laitram, LLC.
