Mar. 30--As the St. Mary's bench jumped in jubilation, the No. 9 John Carroll girls lacrosse team knew it had missed its chance to make a strong statement in the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference yesterday. With 1:08 remaining in double overtime, Sam Shrum scored on a pass from Allison Perkins as the second-ranked Saints rallied to defeat the Patriots, 12-11.
