Mar. 30--APPLE VALLEY -- A pitch to build two Planned Unit Developments in the northern end of town is being received warmly by the school district and coldly by the Town Council.
The two unnamed developers want to build two PUDs -- master planned residential communities with homes on lots smaller than a half acre -- with a total of 1,000 homes on 500 acres.
The developers are proposing that in exchange for building homes on lots less than a half acre they will donate up to 30 acres "free of charge" to the Apple Valley Unified School District.
The developers would also donate up to 50 acres for community parks. ...
