The Lake Howell junior will be honored as Florida Dairy Farmers Mr. Basketball this morning, hours before his Nike Team Florida travel team opens its season on his homecourt and the day before his beloved Florida Gators play in the NCAA Final Four. "It's a great week all the way around," Calathes said Thursday after learning he is the third junior to win the state Player of the Year honor, which dates to 1983.
