Sharon Stone reprises the femme fatalerole in which she delivered the "flash seen around the world," and while "Basic Instinct 2" is not the new "Mommy Dearest" many of us had hoped for, it possesses several guilty-pleasure virtues.
Chief among these is a fearless, ferociously gonzo performance by 48-year-old Stone in a role, frankly, no one wanted to see her play again except her and the film's producers.
