BOSTON -- The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC) is raising awareness around the issue of child abuse and neglect through its month-long "Paint the Town Blue" campaign. In 1983, April was first declared national Child Abuse Prevention Month and now, MSPCC is dedicating the month to raising statewide awareness to its cause. Blue is the signature color of Child Abuse Prevention Month, thus MSPCC will "Paint Boston Blue" with a series of fundraising events.
