The San Diego State University Research Foundation has announced that Chief Executive Officer Frea Sladek and Chief Operating Officer Steven Bloom are retiring.
Sladek, whose retirement is effective Aug. 31, has made signficant accomplishments during her time at SDSU.
"From my first year at the foundation, to my last year, I've always have been involved with challenging projects," Sladek said, "I had a wonderful and fantastic ride with the foundation, and now I'm looking forward to spending time with my family and taking time to travel."
Sladek joined SDSU 37 years ago with an entry-level position in the foundation's international projects ...
