THE Mail on Sunday can today reveal the secret contained in the much-anticipated Gospel of Judas - the story of the 13th disciple.
The crumbling ancient text, said to be one of the most significant archaeological discoveries of modern times, purports to tell the story of Jesus's last days from Judas Iscariot's perspective.
It claims that far from betraying Christ, Judas was His favoured follower and was carrying out God's will. But, most significantly, the text contains no account of Christ's resurrection.
