HIS screen battles have involved life-or-death tussles with some of the world's most dangerous villains.
But Sir Sean Connery's latest fight has seen him bury the hatchet in a way James Bond would never have countenanced.
The Edinburgh-born actor recently fell out with Jack McConnell after describing the First Minister's efforts to promote Scotland abroad as 'a joke'.
He vowed then that his days of helping the Scottish Executive sell his homeland to the rest of the world were over and that he would be having nothing to do with the forthcoming Tartan Week in New York.
