Apr. 4--TOWN CREEK -- There is hope, after all, for a pair of bald eagles whose nests repeatedly fall to the ground with the dead trees they choose as their homes.
Keith Hudson, a wildlife biologist with Alabama Wildlife and Fisheries, said though bald eagles are loyal to a nesting area, it doesn't mean the local pair have to remain in the same cluster of trees that have, for the most part, failed them for three years.
"They could easily move to an area a quarter of a mile away," Hudson said. "They are not tied particularly to that wet area."
