WITH OUR CURRENT FOCUS on commemorating World Literature Today's eightieth year of continuous publication in 2006, it is important to point out as well the uniqueness and distinction of the magazine's major affiliated programs: the Neustadt International Prize for Literature, the NSK Neustadt Prize for Children's Literature, and the Puterbaugh Conferences on World Literature. Just as these programs have benefited from the longstanding tradition of WLT, the two prizes and the lecture series have, in turn, enhanced the profile and reputation of the magazine.
