THE cost of prosecuting Kate Moss over allegations that she snorted cocaine has risen to more than [pounds sterling]100,000.

Senior police sources suggest the bill for the six-month investigation has now exceeded six figures, the Evening Standard can reveal.

No decision on whether to prosecute Moss, the supermodel caught on camera last year allegedly taking the drug, has yet been made.

As reported in last week's Evening Standard, the Crown Prosecution Service has requested one final piece of evidence as it considers the case against her. A decision is expected within a fortnight.
