MILAN -- Valentino will merge its design, promotion and boutiques units into a single company, Valentino Garavani Creazioni SpA.
A shareholders meeting has been called for Sept. 27 to approve the merger, which the company described as a technical restructuring that will have no direct impact on its commercial operations.
Giancarlo Giammetti, chief executive of Valentino, said the merger is designed to "improve the group's administrative and management structure."
