Apr. 2--DOVER -- While home sales are on the rise in Kent County, the big dollars in the Downstate real estate market are in Sussex County.
Although fewer homes sold overall than the year before in Sussex County, sales went up $214 million in the state's southern-most county, according to the Sussex County Association of Realtors.
Sales in the county totaled more than $1.8 billion in 2005, the group said, despite a 178-unit decrease from the year before.
About 3,070 homes sold at an average price of $413,552.
