THE news was long delayed in coming but it did eventually last Tuesday in the front pages when studies conducted by various foreign groups made known the "positive impact of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program on the economic and social wellbeing of Filipino farmers."
In the midst of all the pessimism that we hear about the government, the good news provided the lift that the people badly need particularly at this time.
Certainly, we are happy to learn that the farmers who are traditionally the poorest of the poor in this country are at last winning the war on poverty, thanks to the reform program of the ...
