2006 Contract Negotiations Bargaining Update

NEW YORK, April 5 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hotel Association of New York City (HANYC) began labor negotiations today with the Hotel Trades Council on a new labor contract for hotel employees. The current labor contract expires at midnight on June 30th.

Joe Spinnato, President and CEO of HANYC stated, "The hotels involved in the negotiations respect and appreciate their employees. The bargaining committee looks forward to sitting at the table with the Hotel Trades Council to negotiate a fair contract that recognizes the contributions hotel employees make."
