Joel Cole, 37, is an artist based in Shakopee, where he works at his studio, "Everything Earth Art Studio and Gallery." He spoke with Star Tribune South's David Gustafson. Questions and answers have been edited.
Q. You create art solely with sustainable materials such as wood, tile, stone, marble and leather that you find in the environment or that would have been discarded as waste. How do you define sustainable art?
