Apr. 6--A school policy that prohibits nepotism was waived school board members during a Tuesday school board meeting.
School board members voted unanimously to allow the husband of Clovis Municipal Schools Superintendent Rhonda Seidenwurm to continue to work in the school system. School board member Lola Bryant was absent from the meeting.
The husband of the superintendent, Jerry Seidenwurm, was hired in August. He works part-time as the testing and accountability coordinator for the schools. His salary is about $29,300, according to the superintendent.
