Sialkot, April 06 (PPI): After the bird flue scare, the chicken prices have jumped up in the open markets in district, as a 55 percent increase in chicken meat prices has been witnessed.According to a survey, the retailers were selling the chicken meat at the rate of Rs. 85 to 90 per kg in open markets of Sialkot Cantt. , Sialkot City, Daska, Bhopalwala, Sambrial, Uggoki, Pasrur, Chawinda, Badiana and surrounding areas. The chicken meat prices jumped to Rs. 90 per kg from Rs. 45 to 50 per kg after the bird flu scare.An increase of Rs. 2 to 3 has also been witnessed in the prices of the eggs, as the eggs were being sold at the rate of Rs. 25 per dozens instead of ...
